INTRODUCTION

Wheat is one of the most essential strategic cereal crops not only in Egypt but also all over the world.
The cultivated area in 2004/2005 season was 2.95 million feddans (includes bread and durum wheat), produced 8 million tons grains with an average 2.70 ton/feddan (report of national wheat racing, program 2005). The importance of durum wheat attributed multiple usages for human consumption as bread, making macaroni industry and Fareak in addition to that durum wheat is high in protein *******. High yielding ability cultivars in durum wheat could be achieved via obtaining new recombination after crossing followed by selection for one or more of its major yield components.
Therefore, study the inheritance of durum productive traits is become of great importance of durum wheat breeding programs. Recently durum wheat importance in Egypt was increased owing to progress in macaroni industry to compensate the shortage of rice consumption (high in prices and decrease in acreage).
The aim of this study is to estimate mean Performance, heterosis, Combining ability, and Correlation among ten studied traits in a half diallel cross of seven selected parental durum wheat cultivars or lines.
